I am getting "letter shadows" along the left side of printed pages. Is this a fuser issue or does something else need cleaning?

run a half test.
run a paper path test, 10 sheets. While it is printing open the top cover, remove the cartridge. Look down at the paper. If it has the letter shadows it isn't the fuser.
