I don't know how better to describe the output than calling it color banding. It used to happen every once in a while, now it happens on every page. There are multiple colors involved and they change from page to page. Printing the engine test page also does the same thing, so I believe I can rule out the formatter. So far I have replaced all toners and the drum, and I also replaced the high voltage power supply and sub-high board. I think all that is left is the laser scanner and the dc controller. Has anyone seen anything like this before, or have any suggestions (besides throwing the printer away)?

Yeah, Im for tossing them, but the carousel PCB is most likely the trouble.

I guess I don't know what the carousel PCB is. There is no mention of it in the repair manual. Here is the diagram of the PCA's:

My vote would be for swapping the DC controller ...
The only other suspicion would again be the toner cartridges -- I know you've replaced them once, I would just make sure you're using a reputable brand, and better yet would be to test those toners in another 2500 machine if possible , since it is very possible to get multiple problem toners from some vendors ...
