Sorry, HP does not show a service manual. Since parts are generally not available for these small printers it seems they consider them to be disposable. The things I service on them when they get to my bench: Check and clean the locator strip with alcohol (the small plastic strip with all the vertical lines on it, tells the pen carriage how fast it is moving and maybe where it is), clean the contacts that mate with the ink cartridges, clean the spitoon, if the carriage seems sluggish sometimes it needs a drop or two of oil on the round bar that the carriage slides on. Once in a while I can combine two bad units and get one good one. I also clean the rubber rollers with a product called OOPS, which is alcohol with a few other solvents added. Get it at the hardware or home center store. A substitute might be alcohol with a little baby oil added. Helps to renew the rubber and clean paper dust off it.
My two cents for today. Hope it is a little help.

thanx muchly for the tips. :)

that alcohol and baby oil is a new one for me.
i generally use low viscosity silicon oil and alcohol for rubber parts

have you ever used silicon oil for rubbers?
has anyone used both?
i'll be definitely trying that on the next printer that comes in.

thanx again!
