My Photosmart HP7960 suddenly reported "Paper jam. Clear jam, then press OK." In fact, there is no jammed paper that I can see, after intensive scrutiny. When I press OK just the same, it simply "prints" two blank sheets, then stops, the red light starts flashing, and the same error message appears. If I switch the printer on, from being off, it immediately "prints" two blank sheets, then shows the usual error message.
I have been using it successfully with Vista SP1, and the Vista drivers are installed. Any suggestions for a solution gratefully received. If it would help I might uninstall the drivers and re-install, but there is no way to uninstall the existing ones that I can find - no uninstall tool, and the printer does not figure anywhere in the list of hardware which can be un-installed. I tried to re-install by direct download from HP, but the download would not replace the previous ones, it simply said I already had the correct drivers.
