I was printing on a business card stock heavier than what I normally
use, Avery 27881. It was set to print 5 sheets. The first 3 printed
without issue but the 4th sheet just ran through unprinted and I was
advise the printer was out of paper and of course the red light started
blinking. I pressed the button and the 5th sheet feed through like the
4th. I loaded standard 22lb plain paper and it still ran paper through
without printing and advised that the printer was out of paper. I ran
the troubleshooter through all the exercises without bypassing any. I
did this twice. I have also uninstalled the driver and software and
reinstalled them. At the end of the trouble shooting a 'self test' was
suggested and referred me to the Owner's Guide in which I couldn't find
anything about a self test. The guide is CPD-19428 dated 04/05. After
everything was reinstalled, and the computer did recognized the printer,
the green light will start blinking as always before printing but
nothing at all happens and the light is solid again in a few seconds.
The paper does not now feed through unprinted as before. Please advise.

Have you tried powering on, powering off, being sure to unplug the printer and let it sit for a few seconds, then restarting? Its processing might still be "frozen" on this past print job ...
