Hi everyone.....I want to purchase a not too expensive HP Color Laserjet. I am not going to use it too much, and just want something that works well and doesn't have too many problems. I only need one that is a printer, copier and scanner (I don't need a fax function). I have an older HP Laserjet 3380 that I use most of the time, that still works well. The color one will only be used when I really need something in color, which is not too often. I definitely don't need one to print out pictures. Is it better to get a pretty good Inkjet? Thanks for your recommendations.:)

IMHO you would be better off with an inkjet. One that works
well and does what you want is the HP PSC 1350. It uses the
56/57 ink cartridges and has ports for camera memory sticks.
We have several in our stock of small printers that we send
out to disasters and they seem to work well. All the printers
I have seen that use the 56/57 cartridges print a very nice
picture.

We do have a couple all-in-one laser units but they are very
expensive and do not impress me as being very sturdy or
dependable.

From your description of the printers' use, it would be more cost effective for you to get an inkjet.
I believe Kodak has the cheapest cartridges on the market.
HP has the most printers with the most expensive cartridges.
