Scanner not working

Hey guys,

I have an HP 2210 (which is a printer, scanner, fax, and copier). The printer works fine, I can print documents (sometimes,lol), but my real problem is with the copier. When I want to copy something, I scan it, but it seems to not be communicating with the printer at all. Also, when I want to scan something to the computer it doesn't seem to communicate with the computer either. I've had the printer for a few years now and don't want to go out a spend more money on another printer until I know what is wrong with this one.

do you see the light from the scanner come on and does it move?
Are you copying from the control panel?
Are you getting any error lights/codes?

Try to print your settings and check to make sure they are set correctly.

If it copies from the control panel but not the PC, you need to check how your scanner driver (separate sometimes from the printer driver) is installed. If need to, reinstall.

Have you installed the full driver,or just the basic?
Functionality to send to PC is in the full software install.

no prob... for a minute there I had hurt feelings. I kept reading my post to see what I did wrong. LOL. Its all good. Helps me stay humble, cause there's a lot about machines I dont know.
