Hello everyone,
I just got a ~3 year old 1320n printer in mint condition. It has been used in a small public school and has printed around 3000 pages. It seems to work perfectly - when I press the go button it prints a test page / config page, and when I hold down the reset button at the back it prints a jetdirect config page.
The trouble is I can't make it work, either with usb or network. As for usb, when I hook it up the pc (win xp) recognizes the printer, but is unable to find the right driver. I then installed the generic 1320 series driver, but the printer doesn't show up anywhere, and I cant actually send a document to it.
Any ideas on what might be wrong here? Since this printer was used in a public school, might the hardware be somehow theft-protected, or otherwise locked so that it only works with certain pc's or within a certain network? Since the original driver cd didn't come with the printer, I'm not 100% sure I actually installed the right driver.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: ok, I got it. As soonas I found the right driver I managed to get it working.
Cheers,
Michael
