Customer said they are getting random error messages, "sub system kernel", "error illegal tag", "operator ox8 pos 2470" and a few others. If they turn it off for awhile then back on it may work for around 1/2 hour then start with the random messages again. Thanks in advance for any help.

hmm... what makes the customer think this is printer related? It could be coincidental with other problems at the computer. The errors you mentioned are computer related. That said you should try to replace and reinstall the driver with the latest driver from hp.com.

Thanks jeff, i was thinking that it had to be computer related. software, etc.
