Can anybody please help me I am trying to run a bootloader program that uses LPT1 but when I connect I receive the following error:
could not determine parallel interfaces on your pc

in cmos I had to change my comos settings to "ECP+EPP "
and device mannager/ports/ecp printer port (LPT!) I had to select
"never use interrupt"
I reinstall my printer driver the printer is working
what other setting do I have to change to get the progam to see the

What printer and OS are you using?

it is not a printer
What happened was ..I have a dreambox witch I had to flush with a image.
the image was corrupted cause to halt my dreambox now it could not boot any more.there is forms to show you how recover.
so what i had to do was to make up a JTAG cable witch consist
of a DB25 connector on the one end and a 10 pin IDC connector on the other end.then I had to erease or change the mac address with a bootloader program called jtag_windows.exe.
My problem now is that the bootloader cannot determine the parallel interfaces on my pc.
once I solve printer problem that I can continue with the Dreambox forum.
on the dreambox forums all I could found was that LPT must be is under
device manger..witch is not the case.
all I see is "Devive manager/ports/ecp printer port (Lpt1)"
if this is right then.why is it not detecting the parallel interfaces
please help:eek:
