Blank pages with HP Laserjet 8100

I have an HP Laserjet 8100 which has been working for some time now (about 3 years) One day it started sending out only blank pages. When it starts up, it does its internal test and show that there is no problem but it does not put ink on paper.
What could be the cause and a possible solution.

You might need to replace the transfer roller or there can be something obstructing the laser beam from getting to the drum.

Thank you Brian for the advice. Is it necessary to do a complete replcement with a Maintenance kit?

That would depend on the page count, if it is time for a maintenance kit you should concider it, if not just replace the transfer roller.
Checking the laser unit is something you should do too
