HP only printing in cyan !! Help please.

I have a HP K80 multi function printer which after well over a year the colour cartridge finally ended. I have replaced the colour cartridge twice and only get the colour cyan to print - no yellow or blue. I have primed and cleaned the cartridge using the software but still nothing.
Can anyone help please?

What brand of cartridges are you using?

Many newer HP Printers internally keep track of your cartridges by a serial number embedded into the cartridge. When it's low, the printer remembers. This is entirely done within the printer itself, and not the printer software. Some printers EXPIRE the cartridges after 18 months according to the installation date even it is not empty.

It's an 8 year old printer. Not supported anymore.
