I have a HP Deskjet 990cxi, and a HP Jetdiret 500x Print Server.
The printer itself works fine connected directly to a PC using USB or Parallel cable.
The Print server works fine with other printers, and in itself works with no problems.
However, the printer, when connected to the print server just shows as offline all the time. Even though it isn't. Printing a config page from the print server works fine, and comes out of the printer with no problems, detailing all information you would expect.
The printer, when initially plugged into a port on the print server shows as online, but only for about 10-20 seconds, then back offline. This is the case for all 3 ports on the Print Server.
Anyone have any advice?
