I have a Canon i960 that is going south. I wanted to upgrade and I've been looking at the Epson R1900. I have heard that it has smaller ink cartridges than ones before but it will print up to 24". Is there any other ones that will work like this? I'm looking at the $400 range.
What is the difference between dye and ink. I'm seeing that some of the Canons are using dye now and they don't seem to last as long as ink. If i'm not mistaken I remember they said only 50 years, thats plenty of time for I won't be around then.
