canon pro 9000 magenta tint

hi all this is my first post and i really need some help! i have a canon pro 9000 printer, been using it for around 8 months and all of a sudden everything i print has a magenta tint,not just b+w but colour too, the print quality is perfect apart from that, i did use compatible inks for a bit but i am now back to genuine canon inks and i am using high quality 270gsm photo paper, i hope some one can help me with this as i am a photographer and i really rely on my printer!

any help would be greatly appreciated

I'd recommend asking the same question on nifty-stuff and stevesforums (google those two) as there tends to be a fair amount of Canon experience and more photo related ink experience between the two there.

If you could report back on here what you find out though that'd be useful for continuity..
