I have an end user stating that their CLJ4600N always shows 'calibrating' on the control panel after powering it on. I haven't found anything specific to that condition in the service manual. The closest suggestions are to perform a cold reset and remove/reseat the formatter and all components on it.
Anyone have any suggestions? This unit had a new OEM formatter installed less than a year ago.
Thanks,
Shticky

I assume you did a Cold Reset...that would be my first suggestion...
If that doesn't work, you probably need to replace the formatter again...

Not getting over the calibration phase, means that the NVRAM is either full of garbage, or has failed. When you replace a formatter or a DC cont., you have to get the NVRAMS's in synch. this can take several re-starts, and you may need a special engineering mode to clear. If either NVRAM's are corrupt, then that is passed on to the other.

Apparently moving the jetdirect card to a different EIO slot resolved the issue.
