LaserJet 8000N Folding Corner

We have an 8000N that occasionally folds the upper right-hand corner of the page, causing subsequent pages to hit the fold and fall out of the output tray. What might cause this?

There may be a scrap of paper under the registration assy.
Lift up the trqnsfer roller and look there too.
Do a print test, and stop it befor it gets to the fuser. If no fold yet, it is the fuser. There may also be a lot of toner built up on the exit rollers.
