We have a HP Laser Jet 8000 here in the office that sometimes make a grinding noise (noise is coming from the right side of the printer). When the paper leaves tray 4 and is guided through the door on the right of the printer this is when the noise happens. Can someome help?

The noise is probably originating in that right side assembly as the paper leaves Tray 4, I've found the clutch will rattle and sound like a grinding noise..open the door and rotate the shaft roller assy. back and forth and see if that's where the noise is coming from. Murphy
