View Full Version : LaserJet 4050TN Print Quality

I've done a few searches, and part of the problem is I do not know how to describe the issue well - so here it goes!

Lately my 4050TN has been printing some lines normal, then other lines of text lighter - here's a picture (I apologize for the quality):

Any ideas where I should start for this? Most of the documents I print out are now unreadable.

Picture looks great.
Have you looked at the fuser?
If it looks good, try the half test

Two most common sources of print defects are--
The Toner cartridge, then the fuser...

Here is a quick tutorial on doing a halfway test to determine where in the print process the defect is occuring:

If not the toner cartridge, the transfer roller might need replacing.
