I'm trying to revive an old, dead HP 1500. I replaced the formatter and now it will print, but the left side of the page fades out. The right side of the page prints great in all colors, but it progressively fades out from the center of the page to the left.

I've put it through several cleaning cycles, but it doesn't improve the problem. All the toner cartridges and the imaging drum are good. Does anyone have any ideas of what the problem might be?

Hi

Its feds from top to bottam or its feds from the half of the page,

if the cartridges and e-drum are new or good then tray to clen the printer scanner and tray after it, there must be the dust on the scanner glass.

bye

it could be that the carousel has jumped out of alignment and needs reindexing.this is a common issue with this type of printer.this forums attachment limit is too small to post instructions.if you get the service manual,it shows how the alignment should be.
