Does anyone have an idea what might be causing the horizontal smudged lines in the attachment on my HP 1220? I replaced the toner cartridge and the fuser with no effect.

Transfer roller?

Thanks, makes sense that it could be. Though by looking at it I can't see anything wrong. Can't get the roller off - I can push in the two clips, but I'm not able to lift it up at the same time.
