Hello.
We have an ageing (but low mileage, c 30,000 copies) 8550DN which has just started displaying problems after we changed the drum/image drum. Coincidence? We have since then tried another imaging set at the HP approved dealer's expert's request to no avail.
They have also came out and changed a ICL arm and related bits and the problem is still there. They claim never to have heard about this problem before !
It seems to mean that maybe the first inch margin of text is either faded or not printed when printing and sometimes nothing useable is printed on the whole machine. They have seemingly tried adjusting things with colours (judging by the test prints).
They claim HP has never heard of this fault. No error codes are coming up on the display.
Is there anything that I can try or suggest to these HP trained experts as I find it hard to believe this is so strange a problem and they seem to just come, try a few things, and go again until the next time and still we cannot print with confidence !
Thanks in advance :) D
