When i come in every am, powersave is on. However, when i send a print job to the printer, nothing. When I power down the printer and it comes back up, viola, it prints what i sent to it. It started this right after I hooked up a different computer to it. I'm wondering if it is a computer setting in the properties setting in the printers folder or something in the menu settings of the 4100 itself. It is parallel connected to the computer and network sharing enabled (nobody else can print either). Also, afer power cycling, I have no problems printing thru the day. Only in am. HMMMM. What is this?

It's also supposed to come out of power save when you push a control panel button...does it?

Have you tried a cold reset? power off, hold down the Go button, power back on, continue holding Go until you see the words "Cold Reset"...

Note: This will reset any custom paper settings you might have, also any network settings on installed JetDirect cards...

on steve's response, i haven't tried that but during any other time during the day when the printer is in powersave mode everybody can print. This only happens first thing in am. my customer keeps insisting this all started when i changed out the computer.

Try a cold reset anyway...it's easy and won't hurt anything...
