hp5m does not wake up from Powersave

I have a hp5m laserjet that works very well, except for this problem. After entering powersave mode, the printer does not always wake up when a job is sent to it. Pressing the Go button usually wakes it up, then the job will print. This is a network printer with a JetDirect card. I don't know which model card it has, but I can find out and post later. Any suggestions as to the remedy? Is the JetDirect card the usual suspect in this case? Thanks for any ideas.

Yes, The Jet direct card is the first thing to change, if this does not resolve the issue, then go to the formatter.
