View Full Version : HP4MV error 50... how do I repair this what is it?

HI. I loaned my HP4MV to someone and it came up with an error message of 50. I don't know what this refers to. HP doesn't support this printer any longer though they did offer the new version of this size LaserJet for $1700 incl shipping. Recommendations are much sought.

if it's just a 50 error.then it would refer to a fuser error.generally the fuser is overheating or underheating.in most cases the fuser has to be replaced .sometimes if there is an issue with a power supply ,it may not be getting enough power,thus underheating.also if the printer is not connected directly to a wall outlet.things in between can drain power.you can try cleaning the fuser connection pins and reseating,but,again;in most cases the fuser just needs replacing.
