HP LaserJet 4V

Hello:

I have an HP LaserJet 4V with the following symptoms. The printer with run for an hour with excellent copies and shut down with an Error 55. I do not want to spend a lot to fix it as I have two other HP Laserjets a 4 with a bad roller and a 4MV that needs a Fuser.

So my question ... Not having a fuser or Boards to to try in the 4V I wonder if anyone has had a similar problem and could suggest a method of isolating the problem rather that buying a bunch of boards.

This is a communication error with the DC Cont. and the Formatter.
Try re-seating the scanner cable, and you might just take out the fuser for your other 4v! They take the same fuser.
