hp 4250n not swicthing on

printer is dead not coming on at ll. tried diffrnt powrr cable and re fitted formater board. still dead what can it be

Take off the rear plastic cover in front of the formatter. Take off the front rite side cover. You'll see the silver metal rod down towards the bottom. That's the on/off control. With the printer plugged in move the rod rite or left and see if it powers on.

si if this works what part is likely faulty?? and if it does not work what can it be?

After you get the covers off, you'll see that the rod actually slips into the slot behind the 'on/off' switch. I'm just hoping that it wasn't seated in the slot.

After you check that, well go from there.


By the way, is the power outlet HOT. You didn't trip a breaker?
