Hi all,
being new I have a somewhat difficult problem: I have a dead 8500dn here, which makes a rattling noise, and black toner is vibrating when printing. Verified with blocked door interlocks, I have seen that myself.
I dissassembled it so far, and found the drive gear (aluminium) to have different-shaped teeth (round) compared to the driven gear (plastic, sharp teeth), which tells me that I have to swap these parts.
Problem is that I can only buy RG5-3065-000CN, at ~400 dollars, or the Motor M3 solely. I don't know wether I could get the drivegear alone, anyone an idea ?
Furthermore, I will verifiy that M3 drives it directly, cause M3 could be bought separatly. The only thing I need to know is wether M3 is delivered WITH the drive gear on it, or not, cause the gear is snapped on it- so maybe it comes without :-(
