HP 2200--will not print 9's---

I have an HP 2200 that will not print 9's from software packages... internal test pages work ok but documents from customer software and Word documents will leave blank spaces wherever a 9 should be...
Is this a driver setting or printer logic problem?

i would say,some kind of driver/application conflict.have you tried a different driver?

Connection? All apps do this? If test pages are ok, then the doc, or app is the problem. Use windows software like, wordpad, and print 9's.
Could be the NIC if used.

it seems to be a driver problem...it printed the "thread" page from PrinterTech.com with all the 9's, it printed 9's from inside notepad but will not print 9's from Excel or Word...I will check drivers.
