We are having trouble with an HP 1500L. It periodically makes grinding noises during print jobs, prints out blank pages intermittently, and isn't printing out all the colors from time to time. The toner cartridges are good and the imaging drum has been replaced.
The person whose printer it is has described the following problems:
*Model: hp laserjet 1500L; printer no.: Q2597A; Serial #: CNGGG11051: when printing b/w eg text the printer will intermittently fail to print a page or two at some point in a sequence of several pages; they'll be blank. When printing color my most recent experience (today) is illustrative: a 3 page sequence of color pics: page one fine; page two missing yellow and blue hues; page three: blank. With the change in drums yesterday grinding has stopped ( or is at least much subdued) thanks for your help.
*This just in: loud grinding during the self-exam sequence; cyan seems to be missing most of the time.
*It's degraded to printing one color per page of a colored job.
Would you guys know what could be causing the problems? If you have any tips on what to check, it would be a great help.
Thanks,
Rick
