HP 2300N - 13.01.00 errror

Hi have a hp 2300N which comes up with that error if i try to print from either tray 1 (MP) or tray 2.

have replaced sep pads and rollers in both trays and checked that the sensor in the registration assembly? (under the toner) is ok and hasnt come off or is broken.

where to from here?

if there is no paper in the path and the error clears and comes back up at an attempted print,then it could be an issue with the engine controller unit not activating the solenoids to release tray 1 and 2 pickup.

will it do an engine test at all?

Hi Raz - how do i perform an engine test on the hp2300?

remove the smaller I/O casing cover on the right side of the printer.the button should be behind there in near right center on the frame behind the I/O cover.
