Can anyone help with advice on a LJ 1300 that will print maybe 5 or 6 sheets but then give all 3 LED's on. Pressing the Go button leaves main LED and Top one on, indicating a fuser error. Is it getting too hot and then crashing, also, how is the temperature senced on these type of fusers? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

High fuser temps indicate a bad P/S. Try another fuser first.

Hi and thanks,
Followed Praveens advice about cleaning the contacts at the end of the heater element, seems to be a bit of PCB in this one. Contacts did benefit from a clean up, were a bit oxidised. After re-assembly it did print off 4 or 5 test sheets but then gave that same error. The other advice about the fuser, I will wait for another 1300 to come in for repair and swap the fuser, then we'll see. Did spend some time resoldering the PSU/ engine drive board as well, not convinced that it's this but worth trying I thought. Will let you know how it goes when I try another fuser assy.
the dc controller monitors the fuser temp from the thermistors.the dc controller has a direct connection to the fuser ,and also connects to the fuser through the fuser control circut which guides changes in the fuser temp. for different print modes and i believe will trip a safety fuse circut if the fuser temp. is too high.
if you ohm out the fuser with a multimeter ,it should show if the thermistors/heating element are working properly.or like michael said;try a different fuser.
