Vista to XP Printing

I have a home network setup with my Epson CX7400 printer hooked up to my computer with windows XP. My wifes laptop has windows Vista. I can see the printer but when I try to connect it says "Access Denied". I have installed the drivers on the laptop. I have tried creating a new local port. None of this has helped I still can not connect to the printer. I can access all the shared folders from the laptop, but cannot connect to the printer. Please help.

Is the printer shared? and your wife needs the Vista drivers.
