Laserjet 3052 w/ copy problems

I have a laserjet 3052 and every time I try to copy from the upper tray I get a diagonal line right down the middle of the paper. It doesnt happen when I print or copy on the glass part, and it isn't a problem with the cartridge. If anyone can help please let me know.

did you try cleaning the ADF rollers and paper path?or the scanner strip on the far left side on the same surface as the glass?i'm not certain if this machine uses a mylar strip up in the ADF left side;if so,it could be an issue there.if there is ,there should be a couple buttons to open the ADF feed guide on the underside/left side.

How can you get a diagonal line down the middle of the page?
It's impossible. You can have a line down the middle. And if that's the case you've got dirt on the ADF glass or mylar. Use a lint free cloth and wipe the glass under the ADF. If you look at it you should be able to see a dirt spot.
