Print font size issues

I work in a college computer lab where we have two laser printers, one is a Xerox Phaser 6300DN and the other is a Xerox Document Center 440ST.

The Xerox Phaser has a slightly bigger font when printing. A word document consisting of 4 full pages on the Xerox Document Center will end with one line on the other page.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this? Is it even fixable?

Are all print jobs using the Postscript driver or a PCL driver?
The app you use is where you set the fonts. Same doc. on both units?
