Lexmark z615 not communicating with computer

Hi,
I'm receiveing error message: computer not communicating with printer. Have checked power supply and cables. File message relates 40 jobs in cue. I even tried reinstalling the software as a second printer, but received the same communication message.

What connection are you using? The on-board NIC may be bad. Are the lights on the RJ45 blinking? Check the IP by printing a config page, and then check the driver. If DHCP is on, and you turn off the printer, it may be taking another IP address.

Unfortunately, you're communicating with someone who has no idea what all of those acronyms mean. I do apprciate your effort on my behalf.

Thank you again. I guess I might need to bring the lap top and printer in for servicebefore I crack.
