Hi,

Has anyone else had problems with this HP printer? At first i though it was a defective, no biggie and they sent a new one out but now again the usb will not respond. Actually i can get it to print occasionally if i move the cord back and forth until i find a "sweet spot". I will get a call from a user and printer will be offline with qued up jobs and i cannot get it to print unless i mess with the usb.

Is there a known issue with usb connection to the printer board in this model? Is there something else it could be? I have mostly HP's onsite and i have never run into this (at least not with 2 different printers which were bought around 4 months ago)

Thank You
Matt

did you try a different cord.if your moving it around a bit and it works;it sounds like it could be related to a bad cord or where it seats into the port.maybe a pin is bent or it's just not locking in properly.

Thanks for responding.

I did try changing cords multiple times on each printer. the fact that it was the same brand and model seemed to much of a coincidence. the easiest fix was to try the new cord which i have found is usually neve rthe cause but i did try it.

Did you try the new cable in a different USB port?

Yes,
I tried multiple cords in multiple ports but nothing helps.
