The C522 and C524 series printers can use the same 4k page yield cartridge. There is an 8k page yield cartridge that Lexmark says will work with the C524 and not the C522. I suspect that the C522 is programmed only to calculate page usage for the smaller cart. Is there any other reason that I can't load the bigger toner capacity cart. in my C522 other than the nusance of seeing a low toner message for 4000 pages...?
