HP Laser Jet 4+ recognition by computer

Dear printer techs,

My HP Laser Jet 4+ is working fine. The problem that I have is that when I ask the computer to print an article, the computer does not recognize the printer. I am at a loss as to what to do.

if its on the parallell cable make sure that its securly onto both computer and printer simple.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my original question. However, the cables are as they should be. It seems that I may have deleted the printer drive from my computer. How do I get the drivers that I need so my computer will recognize my printer?

just install the printer though install printer wizard with windows 98 / XP
