Cost Per page, Charging tax?

Has anyone had any experience with cost-per-page printer contracts (similar to a toner-inclusive, cost-per-page copier service contract)? What do you do about tax? Most of my competitors are not charging tax on contract but state says on their website I need to charge tax on at least a portion of the contract since toner is taxable???

Hard to do if all my competitors are not charging. Not sure how they are getting around it.
