HP2420 error code

Hi all,

I have a laserjet 2420n that was getting quite a lot paper jams. After clearing a jam an error message was displayed on the screen on the control panel of the printer, it reads: -

VCClassImpl.cxx
Line = 8285

I have searhed the net, HP web site and this forum for answers but my searches have turned up nothing.

Can anyone help?

Nothing in my manual, or at HP. I suspect that this is a firmware error.
Re-flash it with the newest, even if it is the same you have. Remove any dimm's installed, if networked with a NIC, pull it, and try the usb connection.
The personality chip may be bad also.
