Hello:

I have an HP 4V that runs for 15 -20 minutes and shuts down with an ERROR Message 55. After another few minutes a message 13 appears.

This sounds like a heat problem as shutting it off for a few minutes allows printing until it shuts down again.

The prints are comming out slightly curled and may indicate that the Fuser is going bad. I am not sure if this is related to the message errors. Print quality is still excellent.

I am not in the repair business here but would like some assistance so that I purchase the right parts.

Regards,

Brad

Error 55-com error between the dc cont. and the formatter.
Error 13- paper jam, fuseing area.
May also be the scanner. Excessive curl is indicative of a runaway fuser.
If never worked on, or had recent repairing, You should have it re-furbished.
New printer will cost less.
