cannon i860 prints off scanner only

I hope you can help me.I can make copy off scanner.Cant print test page,but will print microsoft logo on test page ,also prints good clear nozzle check. Will not print off dos,word,or any documents.I temporarily installed a sony printer (about 1 hr.)to do a favor for a friend.which i since uninstalled.Don't know if this could have screwed things up? OS XP printer usb port.Thanks

Delete the printer and reinstall drivers and then install the printer.

update,before receiving your reply,printer started printing but at very slow speed.I then un and reinstalled but still prints at snail pace,any other suggestions?

further update.Deleted printer again.Let XP reinstall.Test page was blank,but at normal speed.

Thanks .problem was black ink tank not working.got info from canon
