Hello All,

I have a Color LJ 3500 and it appears to print very slowly. I acutally have two of these and one of them flies and the other is slow.

I just changed the Fuser as it was making a slight grinding sound. It was printing slow even with the old fuser. I didn't think much about it till I compared with the other 3500 we have here.

I could not find any settings that look different from the other unit.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jim

If networked, it may be the jetdirect card that is hanging up.
Check the print mode settings in the driver, and on the unit.
Could be a faulty formatter, and/or memory

Thanks. I will check those out. Jet Direct Card is actually external so maybe I will swap it out with the other printer. Something for a slow day (if there is such a thing). Thankfully no one is complaining about it atm. Pain in the butt connecting up a laptop with a crossover to configure.

Printers are on different subnets

Yah, the external may be the problem. No on-board RJ45?
Upgrade the formatter, or the printer. Might try a firmware flash.
When you go to HP for drivers, scroll below the O/S listing to "Other O/S's, etc. for a firmware file.
