I have a slight faded print on one spot on the page, the black text inst faded, however this printer has been in a garage for months, not being used, would this affect the printer?

The toner cartridge, transfer kit, and black toner is all brand new.

However, the paper could be causing it.

Does this sound like a humidity problem?

One of the toners the magenta toner is aftermarket, when the other 3 black, yellow and cyan are genuine OEM, the cyan and yellow have never been changed since 2004, the time this printer was purchased, magenta and black have been changed, magenta in 2004, and black in 2006.

This printer isnt used often, only for very important documents and flyers, some a document that is a final report or assignment, my business inkjet 1200D is used more.

Toners have a shelf life, and 3yrs. is a bit long.
These rotary style printers are a real pain to keep up, as a lot of toner is flying around. The expense of an entire set of consumables could be put toward buying a newer unit.
