We have a color laserjet 3600dn, two of the cartridges, Cyan and Yellow will not reseat properly. I noticed there are two little plastic pieces hanging down on the right hand side and wondered if these can be reseated or if they have to be replaced. The printer is fairly new and went out of warranty in Nov. From what I understand they didn't do anything different when they went to replaced the toner

Thanks!

Mary

Hi Mary, are the hanging pieces on the toner? Or the slots they go in?
Sometimes,{actually a lot} toners have been dropped, or handled badly, and could have broken some parts. Be more descriptive, please. :p

The hanging parts are from the area where the toner seats into the printer. I compared the two magenta and black slots to the cyan and yellow slots and you can see that these little parts are suppose to be seated so the toner cartridge can sit into it correctly and connect

These are parts are part of the printer

These are probably the cartridge locks. There is one for each cartidge. You will have to have a technician who is qualified to replace these locks.
