HP LJ 4345 Light Copies

We have three of these units doing the same thing. 2 at one site and 1 at another. If you use the printer function, everything looks great. However, anything being copied or faxed, flatbed or ADF, the printout is light or the fax on the other end comes out light. Has anyone seen this? :)

Well, I can think of 2 possibilities....

1) your machines are set for photo or auto for document type. Try setting them to text.

2) Dirty or misty scanner mirroes. I'm talking document scanner and not laser scanner.
