Hi,

I have a HP Laserjet 1320 which for the past 8 months has run perfectly, just recently however it has begun to jam. This is not the main problem however as even after it has been powered off and back on again paper begins feeding again and then jams, I have never seen this happen before on any printer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pull the tray out, and then start the printer. The P/U assy. needs to rotate to it's correct position. Put tray in without paper.
If printer was dropped, a solonoid flapper may be stuck.

Hello everyone I havent been in here for a while, because i am in a process of moving house.

I think another way to fix this for a short term, is to clean the flapper and place eletrical tape around the flapper and increase the tension of the spring just a fraction more.

Back in the series ii and iii days, their soleniods got stuck and this was a good fix for that, try it on your 1320.

Stuart.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice you were both right it was the Solenoid flapper that was the problem it looks as though someone had dropped the printer and the spring had fallen off. So thanks again for all your help
