Laserjet 1020 Vista Driver Workaround

I have installed Vista and can't get my Laserjet 1012 to work. I've read other users have been able to get theirs to work but haven't had any luck.

If you've had any success at all please let me know how.

I have heard that the XP drivers may or may not work for a while.
It is a forcing issue that HP knows about, but has'nt gotten around to it yet .
They will post drivers for Vista soon{haha}
The HP forums site has threads regarding this.

Microsoft has been what, about 2 years late releasing Vista. In all that time you would have to figure that that would give companies time to work on the drivers that are needed.

I've got a video card that doesn't work right, a Photosmart 7960 that has to use 7800 drivers, an HP scanner that won't work at all(HP thinks that they will have drivers before the end of 2007). What he heck were these people doing?
