I don't have a problem other than recommendations for a (very) small office monochrome laser printer recommendations to replace my noisy and slow LJ 4050 (networked).

HP recommends the P3005 or 4250, but I have read some terrible reliability reviews on the 4250.

It will be used for typical (windows) office documents....letters, billing, addressing envelopes, engineering calculation printouts and an occasional picture from field investigations; all with maximum sheet size of 8 1/2"x 11".

I am looking for speed and above average print quality and minimal reliability issues. Supplies need to be readily available. Purchase cost is a secondary concern to the above mentioned items.

Any suggestions?

Well, you know that your 4050 was quite reliable, so going with the 4100 or 4200 is the best thing for you.
The issues with HP printers are getting out of hand. I repair so much stuff, and their tech support is laughable. I usually tell them what the fix is, but to be honest, they do get me through some tough spots.
Spending about 50% of the units cost for repairs is the norm, but keep in mind that usage wears down many parts that some people dont really address
and just do the least they have to. Thourough refurbishment is necessary to keep it in top shape.

So even though you note HP has many repairs now, should I consider other brands?
